Matt Baker's Chapter

Matt Baker was a self-described "punk kid who did drugs" before he came to Christ at a 1995 Billy Graham crusade in Toronto.

Baker now—as a Christ follower—dedicates his life to bringing junior and senior high school students to a deeper relationship with Christ in his role as Youth Pastor at Southside Worship Centre in the Toronto suburb of Ajax. He also oversees a community food bank and the more than 20 volunteers who serve there.

God’s relentless love for us—even to sending his Son to the cross—is the greatest story ever told.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to share that story.

The ministry of Billy Graham has been sharing this message and leading people to Christ and transforming lives for generations.

There are those who came to Christ more than 60 years ago through the early Billy Graham Crusades, and millions since then who have heard the Gospel message through live and televised Crusades, Festivals, and Celebrations.

More recently, nearly 80,000 people heard the Gospel proclaimed—in person or live online—during the Greater Toronto Festival of Hope. Thousands committed their lives to Christ.

We want to learn how you came to Christ through the ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Maybe it was during a large Crusade or Festival, or maybe through someone sharing the My Hope with Billy Graham ministry at home. Or maybe it was someone else sharing his or her story of being impacted by one of the BGEA ministries that brought you to faith in Christ.

With your permission, we plan to post on our website and publish in our Decision magazine some of the stories we receive of how BGEA helped Canadians become followers of Jesus.

Sharing your journey to Christ may be exactly the connection and encouragement someone else needs to take the step of accepting Him as personal savior.
